Thank you jazzgirl, should now be able to finish. I like the style of croissant & coffee, my garden break was banana sandwich and tea. ( green)

I agree Mr Light - jazz girl is on fire this week and doing the garden too! By the way are you new to this site or am I a bit out of date? If you are new, welcome. Jazz girl thank you for your earlier hints. I doubt if I would have got that icy stem thing if you hadn`t pointed me in the direction of substituting `track` for another word. Despite all the assistance I am stuck on 3 little words.
2 Down - Court dry, disheartened, animated cowboy
9Across - Parrot goes to unknown summit
19Across - Have laugh on mountain with Athenian character

I do have every second letter already but still the penny wont drop.

Good morning Mondrian
There is no gardening for me today as I am taking it easy and sitting in the sun.
3d cowboy in the animated film "Toy story"
First 3 letters word for "court" (as in court a lady) + dry (dishearted i.e. without the r)
9a summit (first 3 letters word for parrot in the sense of mimic)
Hope this is of help. Enjoy the sun ;)
I remember Mr Light has visited us before and I believe he is a musician

Really struggled with this one. Took it with me on a trip to London to see my daughter, she'd got tickets to the musical 'Matilda' - very good. It took me ages to do. Still can't see how a couple of them work but they fit and seem right anyway. Getting a new computer Monday as this one's dreadfully slow, so will be struggling to set it all up - hope to be whizzing around on it next week!
