I'm really stuck on 26 and 74. Anyone willing to help with a pointer in the right direction? I'll return the favour if I can.

26, the head goes through it one is a staight-forward anagram. but like a lot of the answers you will probably have to look up the meaning of it before it makes sense.

Thanks to Phillip - I'm working on that one.

Polly Dee. For 82 my answer is an anagram of pilot and an abbreviation for soldiers. I discounted it at first then found it's used to protect horses from the rain in foreign countries so maybe it's right after all! Thanks for your help - yet another new word learned re horses!

82. an anagram of pilot and a two letter abbreviation for a branch of the army. again, like me you will probably have to look up the word to confirm what it means.

Thanks MaisieP and phillip, you have been most helpful - I find the meaning of my word is part of the armour of a horse going into battle - no mention of rain - am I on the right track ?

Phillip and Polly Dee - I had a different branch of the army and I'm much more convinced by your answer than mine! Thanks for steering me in the right direction.
