I was stuck on the same answer that Maggie was after, but I thought the answer could be capacity as my thesaurus entry for aptitude shows capacity as also meaning aptitude. If this is correct my 50A is wrong. I have 'GET INTO THE SWING OF THINGS' which would mean the first I is wrong in capacity. Can someone please help me so that I can finish this crossword and get on with the cryptic.
Thanks in advance.

Isn't 43d - natural aptitude - facility??? I've finished the puzzle and it certainly worked for me!

hi twohoots
Chambers shows hability as an obsolete form of ability.

ability: being capable of performing a function
aptitude: your potential to become capable of performing a function
