Hi, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty certain that the answer to 35d in the Times2 Jumbo crossword 966 is Camomile Tea. However I don't quite understand the clue!

I'm sure I'm being daft but the clue is "Herbal 50 ac". Can someone explain it? I've Google around for what ac means in crosswords with no joy.

only just seen this post, so I will put you out of your misery with waiting for the answer

His 50 Across clue reads 'Drink such as tea' (8)

So, yes that's how he gets the answer Camomile tea.

He must not understand the norm of referral to other clues within a crossword

Ahhh now I see! 50 ac refers to 50 across! Thanks so much. I knew it must be something simple.
