There's tip somewhere in that thread on how to skip to the end, but it will be hard to find, so I'll repeat it here. Using the "Poser of the Day" thread as an example, if you click on the first page then your browser should display:

"http://www.crosswordsolver.org/forum/15502/poser-of-the-day"

in the URL window. Click in that window and delete the thread title part then type in "offset/xxx" where xxx is the number of posts you want to skip. It can be any number, but I haven't tried it with a number larger than the number of replies, so be warned. Then press the return key and you should be taken to the right place in the thread.
