I've finished this weekend's cryptic, but am puzzled by one answer - which could of course be completely wrong!

Bob, hang around for a kiss (6) -M-O-H

My answer = SMOOCH, but who is Bob, and why can't he get his own girl?

Bob is 's', the old abbreviation for shilling, added to 'mooch' hang around.

Of course, if Bob mooches around long enough, someone might take pity on him and give him a kiss...
