And it was so cheap- you could eat and drink in the TABEPNA all evening for a tenner. Nice to chat Andy I'm going to bed now. I think I'll be more like my old self in the morning.

BERKSPOTTER...

In the thread where you had a go at Susie, did I totally misunderstand or did you own up to be Phillip?

Hi Wendy,
Mr Potter from Berks' has admitted to being Phillip.
Unless i missed something, the removal of that thread was laughable (and Susie wasn't thanking people - not that i care but it is nice to know if suggestions were correct)

Wotcha Trevor!

I thought they were one and the same people.

Truthfully, I think that Berkspotter's post was far too strong although Susie hadn't said thanks and had obviously re-visited the site as she posted a further question.

I didn't really think it was necessary to remove the whole thread though - but can't really expect Norah to spend her time on a Sunday "weeding out" the inappropriate bits.

As for Phillip, if your other half does get banned it's easy enough for you to become someone else!

That's unless the powers that be start banning particular IP addresses which I think is fairly easy to accomplish....

I'm not Wendy BTW, I'm Captain Hook today!

This appears to be the site for eternally married men. Are crossworders more faithful, or more deceptive, or are their wives simply relieved? Oh andyc! I wonder whether you've been to one of my favorite cities on earth- Syracuse (well, more precisely, the island of Ortygia, though the fabulous Orsi museum and quarries and Greek theater are in the mainland part)? No longer in Greece, of course, but still Greek in spirit.

When I woke up this morning I found I was still ' misererable old git' and I can't get back to my usual self.

We have been to Taormina which is not far away. Tip- if you go to Sicily rent an apartment as it's very expensive to eat out all the time. The yanks don't seem to mind, though.

This Yank minds. Some of the B&Bs on Ortygia have kitchens; we stayed in a nice one near the Arethusa fountain that had them. Taormina is breathtaking (stayed below it, on the beach) but too touristy for this cheap Yank. The next time we go to Syracuse I will certainly not hire a car (yikes!), but rather take a train or bus from the Catania airport and day trips to Noto, etc. My wife and I always seem to travel in dangerous places and always rent a car- South Africa (yikes!), Naples (double yikes!), the Texas-Mexico border (triple yikes!)- the list goes on and on. Driving in Sicily isn't really all that bad. I suppose. You just have to keep your eyes closed.
