Another hint for Phillip.
It was a word used by Churchill many times in his speeches.
So Phillip, don't give in, don't surrender, do not yield ......

Hi Phillip
Hope you are around today, as Thea would like to end the Thingy by 9pm. All he needs is a keyword and a clue for Gertrude Jekyll and I know you would be better than me at composing that :)

Hello Jazzgirl,
I'd already thought of never and rejected it. but I now see (thanks to you) that that is the answer.

cut = sever, beginner = S, S turns and looks like N, gives never. as in Churchill's speech.

key word/clue for gertrude Jekyll.

Strange astounded women without space for famous home. 6,4. 6,5 or 6,6.

If you insist on a one word keyword try this-

garnered unusual planter. 5,6 or 8.

You can,of course, work out the answers yourself. 2nd one is dead easy but 1st may make you think.

Jazzgirl, The 1st clue definition is the name of one of the most famous house/gardens' in England. Owned,of course by Jekyll. It's an anagram (as indicated by "strange") of the first two words minus part of the second (without space).
