Some very obscure clues this week ! Just one I don't get. 3 down ? Why POOCH ?
I know PH is a pub on most maps... but why is OOC my round ? ?

MY! = COO - round (reversed) = OOC

Thank you Tony. The 'round' in the pub blinded me to the reverse meaning of 'round'.
Bullfrog... it was...
'My round swallowed by pub's dog'.
By the way, has anyone been sending in the ST Cryptic for about 20 years, (like me, and never won ?)

Thanks

Terry

Callery - I have been sending in the Sunday Times cryptic crossword for decades, and have never won a thing. When I tried the Mephisto crossword last year,I won the second week I sent the puzzle off!

Chips. I sent in the Saturday Daily Telegraph crossword, many years ago, (only about 3 times) and won a silver ball pen ! I stopped after that, and would stop sending in The ST if I won . I think the odds against must be enormous.
I was speaking to a friend in Sandhurst, who knew someone who knew one of the 'setters' at the ST, and she had won 5 times ! ! Maybe it's not what you know.....
