Sorry about my earlier attempt, i think i must be on the gin myself!

To atone for my earlier effort, there is a gin cocktail known as a "Lorraine" and there seem to be various popular songs which include the name. Probably still not as good as Jennifer though!

Didn't the Beatles have a song about the Queen being "a very nice girl"

And I didn't notice the letter count on my earlier reply - so Nellie coud ne Nelly

I thought I'd resurrect this one as I am still struggling on one of the clues.
For those that suggested answers, here are the solutions to my original post:-

9 - She had a connection with gin (8)Jennifer (as suggested by Bernie)

10 - She picked grapes with him (10) Marguerite From 'Ma Belle Marguerite' in Bless the Bride
14 - She was in love (5) Tammy. From 'Tammy and the Bachelor' sung by Debbie Reynolds

So any idea for
