The setter will be livid too He made it quite clear last year how much work he put in to set it and how appalled he was that anyone needed to ask when you are given all the answers. Its not even as if there are great prizes they are gifts which are often more suitable for local people so why do this

Last year someone (the same cheat who did the same thing the previous year) asked a lot of the questions from this great quiz on Yahoo soon after it came out. It was pointed out to the quiz setter who, as keenquizzer rightly said, was livid and made his views clear in comments added to the Yahoo thread. To his credit, the person who had answered most of the questions apologised and deleted his answers. But the original cheat remained silent.

So please desist in ruining the current quiz. You’ve got until the middle of January and have been given all the answers by Hammond Harwood. So try thinking harder about the questions and stop being pathetic by asking for help with over 100 days still to go.

I have only recently joined this forum and thought everyone was very friendly and helpful - obviously not everyone.
I thought the idea of this forum was to discuss and help with crosswords and quizzes.
Now it seems that is "forbidden".
Well I shall not visit this site again, and will cancell my registration.

The title of this part of the forum is crossword help forum which is what it used to be and that was excellent the way members gave and received help
The trouble now is it is more quizzes than crosswords and as I gather the majority helping don't do the quizzes they have no idea of the closing date the prizes and any requests from the setter

People on this site don't mind helping out with quizzes as well as crosswords. However, in order to ascertain whether we should be giving answers, we nearly always have to refer to the Answerbank site, where closing dates/rules etc. are usually shown.

I agree with jazzgirl about people being helpful on this site, but I for one would never think to check up on someone's queries.

I am assuming that the long running "Put on your L plates" is legitimate? They seem to behaving fun...hope it is

Pastille sadly 'L' Plates has more or less been fully answered on here, despite it not closing till end of November. I only followed the thread as I had already completed it.
