Everybody seems to agree that banter is alright. Of course,banter is supposed to be humorous. Not the inane,childish and meaningless waffle that pastille and (to a lesser extent) sallyw inflict on us. The truth of the matter is that quite few people think that these two spoil this site.

i happen to like pastille and (to a lesser extent)sallyw ...only joking, i hate them both(no,no,no,omg. what am i saying?).

this thread was made worth reading after being inundated by a letter from Mrs Trellis(in-joke from radio 4). She made a lot of sense to me.
coupled with Pipesmokers tale of Rusty (did the wheel go rusty?)

Judith can we all just agree to differ, and enjoy the site, banter and all. It is after all a very diverse world full of differences, some of which cause trouble, but all of which are quite amazing when you think about it - as are we all. A little levity is always a pleasure, so why don't we all just try and enjoy each other's (virtual) company. Anyway from now on I'm going to be so nice, everybody will feel like they're overdosing on sugar! ;0)
