Skype is good, but only one of my friends has joined, but he is in Adelaide, so it's great! Saves a huge amount on phone calls.

Hi Trevor...

I am a lover of Skype...when my daughter was in Glasgow..."doing the student thing" and my niece and family in Bangladesh now...it is invaluable.

An absolutely brilliant invention...

Hate the camera bit though...still trying to convince people my chins are played by extras!

I love Skype too - I can't help wondering whether they'll start charging for it though. I've had it for about 2 years and can't believe it's still free.

One thing that cheeses me off somewhat is that some people just don't understand times zones and automatically presume that because they're still up - so am I!!

not sure, but i think Skype charge for conference calls (or you have to have some sort of premium account).
i too hate the camera part but can watch my twin nephews progress (1 year old in about a week).

Re Skype, I've ever only done it once (no snide remarks please!!!) but found the delay too ridiculous to contemplate. Yet it was free then.

And as we all know, you can't beat free!

There is no "dislike" button on my page?
I have hit the "like" button umpteen times to try and find "dislike", to no avail. So, can we trust the "like" button numbers?

Rusty, you are right, there isn't a "dislike" button. However if you click on the little tick on the "like" button, it will become highlighted, and the number next to it will decrease by one. If you then click it again it will increase by one.

I understand that the 'dislike' button is part of a new set of Facebook functions. These are being phased in a few thousand users at a time. Right now, some users have it, and some don't.

Sorry, sally, there is no little tick where you mentioned. Maybe the system I am on is not up to date. Not a problem though.

Maybe so. Having said that I think it only works if you are signed into Facebook.
