The leading pair is thye first two letters of "adults" = AD

leading pair of adults = AD. AD short for Anno domini.

The leading pair of ADults is AD.
AD fully extended is Anno Domini, which is the old expression for the age now known as CE, which stands for Common Era. This is so as to not offend anyone!!!
