my favourite line from this sort of stuff is...."like a one-eyed snake looking around a sea-food store" (or something like that).

I don't believe that Bill Haley had the faintest idea what it meant.

"im like a one-eyed cat peepin' in a sea-food store"
the Elvis version let that one through but they cut;
"Well, you wear low dresses
The sun comes shining through"

they really didn't get it (i also remember Auntie Beebs embarrassment when they found out what Lou Reeds, Walk on the wild, was about (presumably, nobody there knew what 'giving head' meant).
