I don't get it.
People are far too busy these days to spend time thinking about stupid quiz questions so they sort of sub-let the solving process to us. It's obviously elitist if only a few bright people can come up with all the answers themselves and stand a better chance of winning. So what we have to do is provide all the answers to everybody, therefore ensuring a level playing field. Clearly it would be wrong for anyone to stand less of a chance of winning just because they are too bone-idle to make a reasonable effort or (god forbid) too educationally challenged. Better by far that we effectively change the competition from a quiz to a lottery.

That's right, isn't it.

You maybe quite correct Terry, but could you tell me the difference in asking for answers to a quiz question and a crossword question when the said crossword can also be sent in to win money prizes (often a greater sum than some of the charity quizzes). It only appears top be quiz questions that people seem to get all steamed up about.

George S,
You are absolutely right.
What I said applies equally to prize crosswords. You often see a poster get (say) 5 answers and then say something like "thanks guys, in the post now". And nobody bats an eyelid. But for some reason certain quizzes (is that right) bring on a rage.

One last thing. Why can't "please wait", "Totally agree" and their ilk use their usual names if they want to complain about something. What are they afraid of.

this is getting boring, this quiz will be decided on a ballot of about 70 correct entries, finished it weeks ago, you could guess the answer and still get it right, there are not many prominent americans whose name ends LIN. so here for the uninitiated is a little cryptic clue "twos company, trees a crowd" in the "giant forest". roll on the next QFC quiz where you can give away all the answers on this site

I have also finished this quiz some time ago--guessing the american name but would like to know where the numbering comes from !!!
I enter these charity quizzes for fun and not for the prize money !!! On the rare occasion 0f a win I have returned the money to the charity.
