I realise I'm not the most popular person with this thread's regulars but I just wanted say I hope the jerk messing with you falls out of his tree very soon.
I've raised a few cheap laughs at your expense in the past (ok, the not too distant past). But I sincerely hope I've not acted as encouragement to your troll. Just carry on as if the jerk doesn't exist, or as Caravaggio says, he will have won. Mind you it grieves me to agree with Caravaggio.

Just so you don't feel too persecuted, the night shift troll appears to have signed on now. Ah,well.

Hi Karen, hope you're still enjoying the fruits of your labour - and that you've now got stronger glasses to see the screen!!! I'm intrigued as to the 'almost of the same mind' - how do we differ??

Hi Chris,I 'said' a lot more than you. I didn't want you to be offended,that's what the 'almost' was about,in case you thought I was putting all your thoughts forward. It can be difficult to put ones meaning when 'chatting' in print. I hope I haven't offended you.

Good morning all.
I came here this morning intending to bid you all
a sad farewell in much the same way that Old Gal
has done. I have now accepted the arguments put
forward that it would be wrong to desert you so I'm here to stay. My regret is that if Old Gal
doesn't return she will not see the posts encouraging her to stay.
Darwin would use Phil as evidence in support of
his theory of evolution. The man is an ass and it seems that laughter is uppermost in his mind.So his distant ancestor may well have been the kookaburra a.k.a. the laughing jackass.

Just a quick note to add my plea to that of the others to Old gal in asking her not to leave us. Would miss you too much. I still have 8 to get but will not say which in order not to give the `annoying one` to an excuse to supply the answers!!

Hi Mondrian,yes had lovely time at the wedding on saturday,the surroundings were lovely and we had great luck with the weather.
Please dont be put off asking for hints,it's a risk we have to take or it will cease to be a crossword thread! So ask away.
