Hi Kirky.
24 has a clash in the middle letter. Clash is DT, definition is ruff.
31 Definition is soyle. Means same as ravin.
The other clash is at the end of 33, LD

Given the major qualification in Chambers, I thought the corrected definition for 31 rather dubious. It really needed to be preceded by 'apparently'.

the boundary is in the middle inside your clashes 5,7....then correct the clashes + use other letters outside your boundary 7,9........I'm not a scientist but its easily googlable

I found the CD ROM version of Chambers (2005) very useful for confirming both elements, the boundary and the other. All I did was enter the two words of the theme into a full text search and it came up with various entries, including the two necessary ones.

Got a full grid and boundary. Struggling with the eight clashes. I can make light of five but then stuck!
