Hi, Rusty!
Oops! I fell asleep!
I think last week's high jinks have finally caught up with me.....all the outings and games with my grandsons!
I shall be away to my bed shortly.
I am out to lunch tomorrow.......
That should be good!

Good morning, Elle!
A nice morning here.
Hope your lunch outing goes well.
I am going out with Miss La Bamba later.
To Pine Cone. Very predictable!

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
Yes, a lovely day here, too.
Blue sky, sunshine, and a pleasantly cool temperature.
I had an enjoyable walk!
I do not know yet where we are going for lunch.
We usually decide on the day!
I am just going to get changed from my dog walking gear......my friend will be here soon.
I hope you have a good time with Miss L-B!
Catch up later......

Hi, Rusty!
Have you had a good day?
How was your outing with Miss La Bamba this morning?
I am sure you will have both had a good time!
My friend has now gone home.... we had a very nice lunch and a good chat.
I had cheese crepes and chips!
I shall certainly not need any dinner this evening!
Is your son visiting you this evening?

Good morning, Rusty!
We have a lovely sunny morning here.
And a pleasant temperature to go with it.
I have no specific plans for the day...just take it as it comes...starting with coffee and the crossword!
Then I might venture to do a bit of gardening.
My pot plants need organising......
How about you? Any plans for your day?

Good morning, Elle.
Great weather here today, too!
My plans are complete for today.
I was on the go early!
I have finished my puzzle.
15a, and 17a, are new to me.
And I think the definition in 26d, is beyond my ken.
I have been hunting in Chambers and Bradford's to no avail.
But, it is a fine puzzle, I think.
I liked it!

Hi, Rusty!
You sound to have been busy!
I have done as much as I can of my own puzzle.......
I have three clues outstanding that I cannot do.....
17a: ??F?L?S?A
11d: J?W???P?I?G
22a: L?V? - I?S
Any hints?
I think, however , that I have the parsing for 26d...
Nor = joiner (where "joiner" is a "joining word", ie a conjunction.
north - pole
minus "th" for Thursday.
This seems good to me...
What do you think?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I deduced "nor" from North, but nowhere I looked could I find "joiner".
I have no idea what a conjunction is, but if you think it OK, that'll do for me!
I am not good at "hints".
But, at 17a, do what I did and consult Anne B's "plants".
"Draws" often take place at social occasions, in which you buy a ticket to paricipate.
11, the first word is a part of your anatomy, the setter is using "gas" to indicate it. Gas, as in talking.
22, is very simple.
An old fashioned word for "see/look", then an unusual word for "cracks", giving the answer which is "happenings" that took place in the Sixties, mainly in Californian hippiedom!
See how you go with them!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I think my parsing for 26d is fine.....
A conjunction is a word used to join sentences or clauses....such as "and , but, if...." (and in the case of 26d "nor")
Now.....
I have managed 17a: rafflesia = plant (def)
where "raffles" is "draws"
11d: jaw-dropping = awesome (def)
jaw - gas (as in natter)
dropping - manure
But I still cannot see 22a?
I've got "lo" for "look"......
Sorry for being so dim!
I think you are just going to have to tell me the answer outright!
And maybe explain it to me?
New words for me were "ivied", "crabeater", and of course "rafflesia".
