Hi, Rusty!
I hope your rain soon stops...and that you get some sunshine for your visit to the Festival!
Has the cake competition been judged yet?
How did Miss La Bamba and her mum get on?
I finished the Everyman - one dubious parse possibly to reconsider.
The puzzle was disappointingly easier than usual.
I like to have something to "puzzle over"!
(Perhaps not quite as hard as "Israelite" though!!)

Hello, Elle!
The girls and Mum and Gran did not win the Dundee Cake Competition this year.
But they tried!
The weather turned out nice and dry.
Was huge crowd there.
Some folk would have spotted the parse in "Israelite" instantly, but it took me a day and a half!
Got there eventually though.
I enjoyed the tussle with the setter!

Hi, Rusty!
I'm glad that you had a nice sunny afternoon for your trip to the Food and Flower Festival!
It is a shame that your granddaughters, mum and gran did not win the Dundee cake competition this year...but, as you say, it is the taking part and trying that counts!
Chaos reigns here at present, both grandsons are here now ........but only one will be staying the night!
We are doing jigsaw puzzles in an effort to "calm down"!
I must go back......and join in the fray!

Hello, Elle!
The girls in the family had a good time at the Festival!
BB will be excited at staying over, I'm sure.
I watched the All Ireland final.
A very good game and the Dubs were worthy winners.
There won't be a cow milked in Dublin this night!

Hi, Rusty!
These poor cows...they do come in for some hard times!
Daughter and YB left for home some time ago... the rest of us have just had dinner.
I was glad to see that BB cleared his plate!
We are now going to continue with our spelling game on his tablet, before it is time for his bath.
He is an excellent speller!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, poor cows indeed!
The Dubs have won the cup the last four years too, so the cows will be used to it!
Hope you are all having a good time with the games.
Will you remember to 'phone your cousin?

Hi, Rusty!
Games finished at 7.30 and BB went for his bath.
Then we had a story and he was in bed for 8.15pm !
Yes, I did remember to phone my cousin....
I had warned her that I would call later than usual.
We have just stopped talking!
There are plans afoot for a picnic tomorrow, if our good weather holds out!

Good morning, Elle!
Fell dreich up here today.
Hope your weather holds for your picnic!
I am heading out shortly to meet Miss ATW.
Taking her to garage to arrange MOT test.
She has never been to a garage before!
So, she asked old granddad to go with her!
So, a good start to the day for my brownie points!

Good morning, Rusty!
We have a nice day here!
Good picnic weather!
I shall make the sandwiches , cook the sausages and so forth, shortly.
But I do not think we shall set out until about 11 o'clock.
Meanwhile, BB and I are going great guns on the spelling crossword type thing on his tablet.....
(It is addictive!)
He tells me we are gaining points, collecting stars and making dollars!
All quite beyond me....but he gets his spellings correct, so I guess that is the main objective!
How are things going?
Are you back from the garage?

Good evening, Rusty!
Finally back home again!
We have had a great day out with our grandson!
The picnic was a huge success.....the weather glorious...... and very warm!
We took him to Crystal Palace Park to see the dinosaurs.
He has been studying them recently, and so was keen to see the statues.
After giving him dinner here, we then drove him home.....
The traffic was terrible..... and the journey there and back took us well over two hours in total.
But it was well worth it!
We all had a wonderful time!
