Hello, Elle!
I have not been in that pub.
Not my kind of place.
I prefer the city centre pubs rather than the "locals".
I have heard of Tam o' Shanter, though.
He was an Ayr man, and had a horse called Meg.
And that is all I know.
I am going to Miss O'Hara's home tomorrow.
Not sure about Sunday.

Good morning, Rusty!
It is a beautiful day here - blue sky and sunshine - but there is definitely an autumnal chill to the air, and I have put the heating on for an hour or so!
Yes, we are still going on our picnic!
We are meeting the "other lot" in a (very large ) park halfway between our homes at 11.30am.
The dog will be pleased to be included today - she has been left behind on some of our recent outings.
What time are you off visiting?

Good morning, Elle!
A fine day here!
I have had my heating on this week.
Just for half an hour in the morning.
Good luck to you and your picnic!
I am heading out right now.
Going for my paper etc to ASDA, then on to my son's house.
All quiet at the loch, but Laddie was rarely at the nest anyway, unless with a fish.
I think he may be flying South!

Hi, Rusty!
We are home again.......we just made it back before the heavens opened......
It is now absolutely pouring down!
The rain is bouncing up off the ground.....
When I was a child, we used to call that effect "Dancing ladies"!
The picnic went well though.......the sun shone for its duration, and all had a good time.
YB (at two years old) did - or attempted to do - all that the "big" boys did!
How was your visit to Miss O'H and the rest of the family this morning?
I hope all are well.
I might just sit down now, and have a "rest".......
Uhm......I wonder how long that will last?

Hello, Elle!
Been a lovely day here but rain forecast for tomorrow.
Your picnic went well? Very good!
I did not see Miss O'H.
She was having a long lie!
But had a good chat with my son (and the dog!).
My daughter-in-law was working.
She is a nurse and works shifts.
Good puzzle today, but you likely won't get near it with having your visitors!

Good evening, Rusty!
It is a pity that you missed seeing Miss O'Hara. this morning.
I was never blessed with either children, or grandchildren, who wanted to stay in bed!
All wanted / want to be up with the lark!
It is very fortunate that I myself have always like to be up early, too.
As I wouldn't have had any option, anyway!
We, too, are forecast rain tomorrow, from about midday, so the forecast says.
I think the plan is to take out the dog early as usual.......and then see what the rest of the day brings.
You are right in saying that I haven't had time for crosswords this week!
I shall try to fit in the Everyman and he ST Cryptic tomorrow though.

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
It is a dull, coolish day here!
We have had a brisk energetic walk, and at least we beat the rain which is supposedly on its way.
I am not sure if you are about.......or off to the Pine Cone this morning?
I am having a coffee...and hopefully a quick look at the crossword!

Good morning, Elle!
It is overcast here, and on the cool side.
No Pine Cone today.
The boss, La Bamba, is in Newcastle, so Miss O and me will await her return and go next Sunday.
Good luck with your puzzle!

Hi, Rusty!
I remember now your mentioning that Miss L-B was going to Newcastle......
Well, our rain is here with a vengeance, so I think we shall stay at home for the time being ...and see what the afternoon brings later.
I finished the Everyman - just two to parse - in between answering texts, and listening to the young violinist practising!
I have even had a go on the violin, myself!
There are no Athletics events this weekend.....
Or non that I can find?

Pleased to say my younger son finally got his black belt. He has had several knee operations and had to change which martial art he does more than once. This time he had to break a house brick with his bare hand and do 3 fights with fresh fighters, the middle one with 2 at once! Also do some "forms" (sequences of set movements) perfectly and a written paper! Some of that was not fun to watch but that what mother's do....
