yes - its(2nd)part of the hyphened word which describes the other unclued lights

Just don't get 41A. I see what it "appears to be" but I can't find an appropriate definition in Chambers or OED. Am I missing something obvious?

41a is half of a hyphenated word - the first part being 9a - if u have any of the unclued lights answer should be apparent

It's apparent enough - I just don't think it's very satisfactory alongside the preamble and the other unclued solutions. Maybe I'm just being "picky"!
