13. Daily does not refer to every day - think of another meaning.

74. Pitman shouldn't really have capital P as it doesn't refer to the shorthand system. So using another meaning plus the abbreviation for the state of Virginia will lead you to a Greek (I think) goddess of wisdom

Picked up a couple of pointers from this wonderful site, but nobody seems to be having problems with 25, 51 or 59, must just be me. A nudge in the right direction would be appreciated.

Hello - I am new to this forum and have to thank everyone for their helpful clues. However I am stuck with the following numbers despite the clues already given:
14. Is the answer Astrakhan or possible Anastasia. Both are Russian ports (if I am on the right track?) & think Anastasia is/was name of a tanker?
22. I think the answer is either Amortise or Amortice but sure of the recess connection unless this is to do with carpentry?
28. This has really baffled me! A few hints have been an anagram of Dalton Bell Hunt but don't know where this is from?
Those are the only ones I haven't an answer for so help would be appreciated - thanks.

Haeremai18 - I'm new to it too, will swop for clues to 25,51 & 59. 14 you're on the right track but look further north, think WWII convoys. 22 you've answered your own question. 28 the answer is a tall blonde, it is an anagram but not the one you were given, shirt is "T".

BAZZA: clues for you (I think!):
25. Western Cape in South Africa beginning with A
51. Anagram of another word for "fast" (think Easter) and 3 letters for a pensioner
59. 1st word is branch of army (TA) with another word for mistake in between. 2nd word - another name for Company with an "a" at end.
These are my solutions but can't guarantee they are correct.
Got the Russian port but still stuck on 28. Someone said the tall blonde is a tennis player - is this correct? Can't work out which 3 words are the anagram apart from "shirt" but presumably without the "T". Am I on the right track?
