One letter short of a full grid. Help needed please. The letter to the right of 17a F. I can't parse 4 down and plumped for an unchecked L so if that's wrong would appreciate a pointer there too...
Deulc - letter is O. Definition is wait to ambush, word for "during" reversed (rearward) followed by stage of race - think 4 man race. 4d unchecked is P. Drop the G in reigning and the I in iconic to find some Anglo-Saxon poets! Hope this helps!
All finished, with a good bit of help from Wikipedia regarding the show's format. However, one thing is bothering me. I feel that 33a makes use of a pretty poor anagram indicator. Is it just me? Or have I misinterpreted the clue entirely?
Like Bambi123 I'm also struggling with the last two four-letter words, in my case 27 and 28. I have everything else but would welcome details of the wordplay for 7 and 8 down.
