Only 16d of those includes a 5d.

I am so lost here. Have 22d and 23ac but no clue of 5d. Is the first word THE? Or NEW? And has it something to do with the Caribbean? (I DO feel sure of 23ac.) And where IS the 5d in 20ac? I'm feeling very oafish. Ha! That could be an answer in a similar puzzle involving undefined sea creatures!

The Caribbean is totly irrelevant. What are you asking? (5d starts with THE.)
