Hi, Rusty!
Ah, I tried this earlier.......
The link leads you exactly nowhere, unless you "register" and "join" Facebook.......which I have absolutely no intention of doing.
I have expressed my sentiments about this in my email!
I am thinking it is highly likely that I shall never hear from this company again....
I am not happy, though, that all my "details " are out there somewhere.
I had got as far as putting in my card number.
My daughter tells me there is no need to worry....but I am doing!
Oh well, I guess I shall to wait and see what response Monday brings?

Hello, Elle!
That seems strange having to join Facebook to buy something?
I would not be joining it, too.
Think you best stick to Amazon for buying online?
I agree with your daughter about no need to worry, though.
My only concern would be, "is it a reputable site you were on"?
I have bought stuff from non-Amazon sites and did not get pestered with joining Facebook.
Just watched Laura Muir running.
She did well!

Hi, Rusty!
No, the necessity of joining Facebook was not to BUY the product, but to communicate with the product's website about the transaction.
I could fill in the (complaints) form - which didn't work! - or click onto Facebook (which I would have to join)
I have come across this "enforced" Facebook link before.
As you know, I enjoy eating at the Toby Carvery.
Some years back, I received an email from the Carvery, telling me that if I joined them on Facebook, in future I would, on occasions, receive discount vouchers for the Carvery meals.
I went ballistic!
The upshot was that they apologised profusely, and agreed instead to send me the vouchers directly, without any enforced link with Facebook!
I agreed to this - and this works well!
I didn't watch Laura... I got caught up with something else...I shall see if I can track her down......
"The Voice : UK" is on in ten minutes!

Hello, Elle!
There is something called "Facebook Marketplace".

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/facebook-selling

Wonder if that is anything to do with your site?
But, no, I would be telling them where to shove their Facebook if that happened to me, while online shopping.
I agree with what you have done, and if there was an alternative site to buy the item, that's where I would be buying it.
I am watching the golf!

Hi, Rusty!
I have no idea what is going on?
There was no mention at all of Facebook, until the payment section failed to work.
Then I was offered a form to complete, or the option to click onto Facebook.
Anyone's guess ?
I'll let you know if there is any follow up!
How's the golf going?
Oops! "The Voice" is back......

Hello, Elle!
Sounds very odd!
Golf is going fine.
This is "moving day" as it's known in the golfing world!
Bubba Watson is leading at the moment

Elle, I feel this Facebook nonsense is taking over the world - or trying to! I get regular emails from one of the large hotel chains, usually telling me about special offers. I got an email yesterday, saying I could nominate someone, say a friend or relative - and they might win a weekend stay. It said 'Click here to nominate...' When I did, I then had to do it through Facebook. Like you, I have nothing to do with Facebook and don't intend to change!

Hi, Rusty!
I know of Bubba Watson.......you have told me that he is married to a 6ft 3in lady called Angie !
These small irrelevant facts always stick in my head!
For instance.....did you know that Garibald was shot.... in the foot?
Or that Marie Antoinette's hair turned white overnight..... after her capture during the French revolution.
And that, as a result of that phenomenon, the sudden turning white or grey of hair subsequently became know as the "Marie Antoinette Syndrome"?
What time is Miss L-B coming to collect you for breakfast/ brunch tomorrow?

I'm glad of the morale support, Malone!
We shall band together!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, Angie Watson is way over 6 feet.
I know almost nothing about Garibaldi!
Was there a shirt named after him? A red one?
I know about the biscuit!
Now, I know quite a bit about Marie Antoinette but have never heard of her hair turning white overnight.
Is that possible?
I know she apologised to her executioner for accidently standing on his foot just seconds before she was guillotined.
That is well documented.
I am being collected at 11!
If folk want to use Facebook that's fine with me, but I want no part of it!
I do use Twitter, though!

Good morning, Rusty!
It is another beautiful day!
We are just home from our walk.
We walked about four miles..........
Garibaldi's followers were called "Redshirts" - and yes. you are quite right, there was a ladies' red woollen shirt named after him; that was the forerunner of the blouse in women's fashions.
I like Garibaldi (aka dead fly) biscuits!
I am about to make coffee, eat my apple and cheese, and attempt the Everyman.....
Hopefully, you will see this before you go out....
i hope you have a good time!
