Update, Elle!
I forgot to mention (first senior moment of the day!) that the BBC Sport website is streaming coverage of the indoor athletics championships from Birmingham today.
Think it starts at 11.45.
I only found out through a tweet from Laura Muir.
Laura runs at 17.45.

Hi, Rusty!
So you, too, are lucky in your weather today!
That is good.
Thank you very much for the update about the Birmingham Indoor Athletics.
I did not even know that they was taking place !
There is nothing at all about any Athletics in my TV guide...so obviously the coverage is only being shown on the BBC website.
My problem there is that I cannot record anything showing on the computer - and I shall probably be out for much of the afternoon!
Do you know if it is possible to access things on the BBC website after the event?
Like, would the athletics be recorded by the website and could I see them later via a video?
I do not have much understanding of such things!
John has now sent the crosswords......

Hello, Elle!
I only knew about Brum through a tweet from young Miss Muir!
I have no idea if the website will show events later?
But they may be on YouTube?
I have finished my puzzle.
I liked 15d!
Some new words for me, too!
A good puzzle!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I have "done" the 15 x 15 , too!
I didn't like it nearly as much as yesterday's crossword , though.
I have got answers for everything, and I am positive that they are correct, but there are seven that, as yet, I cannot fully parse.
So not a very satisfactory puzzle for me!
My favourites were 7d, 14a, 24a, and 26a.
I had never heard of the anagram "obscurantist"!
It is a good job that we are at home.......we have just received an unexpected parcel!

Hello, Elle!
A pity you did not take to the puzzle.
I liked a lot.
I think the setter has made a good job of it, and deserves praise.
I seem to be on The Times list to be sent emails regarding the Puzzle Club.
So, I elected to follow them on Twitter.
And guess what!
The name The Times uses on Twitter is, "The Times of London".
That was a surprise!

Hi, Rusty!
Oh, I am sure it is an excellent puzzle...and well done to the compiler.....it is just my brain that is not in the same outstanding class!
Yesterday's crossword was more to my liking!
I obviously was on the same wavelength there as the setter!
I have just been trying to place on online order......
Whew! talk about frustration.......
I filled in all the details.... blah, blah......and then, after all that, the website had a technical failure and I couldn't pay!
I have sent them an email.....
I hope I can sort it out.

Update, Rusty!
Good coverage of the Indoor Athletics on the BBC Sports website......
But we are going out now.
Back about tea time......hopefully in time to see Laura!

Hello, Elle!
South Korea beat Team GB women at the curling!
A surprise to me!
It is a very good puzzle today.
Often the setters can be very clever in their clue construction and the answer is not readily apparent....without a good deal of thought!
That's what I find anyway!
The ice is diminishing on the loch.
Hopefully you can sort out your ordering problem.
Maybe you will have to wait until Monday, though?

Hi, Rusty!
I think our last posts probably crossed?
We are just back from our walk- a lovely sunny afternoon!
I thought that the GB Women's team would win their curling round against the South Koreans ? How disappointing!
Mind you, at least it has saved them from abuse and possible death threats!
The South Koreans do not seem to know the word "sportsmanship".
Yes, I think I will need to wait until Monday to deal with the ordering problem - always assuming that some one replies to my email.
The automatic response is asking me to click on a Facebook link if I am experiencing any difficulty!
Grrrh!

Hello, Elle!
Team GB not good enough today.
The South Korean women were better than I thought they would be.
It seems it is not only golf at which they are very good!
That seems unusual that you have to go on a Facebook link.
Surely you have to be a member to get on that?
Why not click on it and see where it leads you?
