Hi

A bit tougher this week I'm working my way through but there are a few that are holding me up

1a Delay as ancients did cry Caesar and shifted a few places (3)

One of the words starting with A is superluous

4a Lost Anglo American moulded could produce this false marble ornament (9)

1d Turn unelightened messenger to hold mynah birds (8)

One of the words starting with M is superfluous.

32 a Bones put back in American suit for protective cover (8)

Any help appreciated

I'm afraid I can't parse all of them, but 1dn is Anis (birds) in Page for Paganise; and 1a is Fub (Cry, Caesar-shifted by +3 -- look this up if you've not come across it before).

I'm so lost here. Just can't seem to get anywhere.

Can someone give me a subtle hint of the grid entry formation method?

Thanks.

1a AND - def is first 4 words
4a anagram = answer + another word
1d MYNAH - def is first 2 words
32a American suit is a 3-letter word that is also the name of a letter. Def at the end.

Jim - could you explain this a bit further. I have not come across this before but not entirely sure what I am looking up?

caesar code - you move the letters on 3 places so c becomes F , R becomes U , Y becomes B

Can anyone please confirm that 21473857 is correct for 4a ? The word checks definition and wordplay and agrees with all down answers other than 9d (where 7?68 is giving me a problem)
