Nearly done! May I just ask which is the straight cryptic, 18a or 14d?

I think that in every case I have initially entered the wrong alternative!

I also have those three. I was hoping that the fourth was one of the two I suggested. I will try again as there is one other I'm unsure of.

Visit to dentist went off not without pain (needed more anaesthetic than usual) BUT it turned out I was one of the first to have a new crown made on the spot by a fantastic new machine using robot-like Equipment, and waqs even allowed to Watch the 8-minite process! Hurray for modern technology (sometimes)! If you want to buy one, they only cost 120,000 Euros................
