I had COMB for "tool used as shock treatment" - wrong, obviously.

I'm starting to find this a little bit frustrating - I had entered the "wrong" definition for 3dn, it transpires. Without the crossers it seem to be little more than a guess which to enter.

I've done about two thirds of this, and had the same problem others have mentioned: entering the fodder for the answer here and there. There are some brilliant clues: a11, d5... Still evil though. :)

It is a carpenter's tool @ 6d.

I've finished this but there are two or three I'm not sure of. Perhaps the one I marked as double really isn't.

Finished, too, except for 22a, but maybe I've got 20d wrong.....................

Today was OK, Chris -- it's tomorrow I'm not looking forward to. Even the best dentist occasionally produces pain during the more serious "interventions" (as the French call them) in my experience!

I've found the double but still have a few more to solve.
