You need to read the clue as "drink to get stuck into..."

Can anyone help with 21 A, grid A?

21ac - the clue for Grid A finishes with the word "element's", which is the definition.

Haggis - cigars is the definition (it was a new word to me) and the drink is a 3-letter word commonly used in crypticland for tea. A "t" is imported from the answer in Grid A to give the word to go in the grid.

bunty - 17ac: definition is staggering. As you say, you lose a T, and you end up with the name of a bird. 14dn: The Grid A clue stops at the word imitations. Definition is "moments to savour", and it's in the sense of food.
