PS re 7d. I just wonder if there is a printing error, as there were already two of those this week. Could "at" really be "sit" ?

Thanks Jazzgirl, I thought it was just me going mad! Apart from 12A (being 6,6 and not 5,6) there seems to be a spelling mistake in the clue for 24A, maybe the compiler was having a bad day!

Yes - compiler is having a bad day - the word `are` is missing from 2D.

Good evening all and healthy thoughts to Pipesmoker and all others in need. Just to throw my two penn'orth in, there's yet another spelling/syntax mistake in 2d. Very poor proof-reading this week. And does anyone else think this is a new compiler? I didn't think the clues (even disregarding errors)were up to much. Or am I being picky?

I thought the whole crossword was a bit off-colour this week. I feel like doing a Victor Meldrew but will resist.
Pastille, I would love to enter a clue, but as you know I am rubbish today :0) Still recovering from the goose. But he/she did reward me with a really good photo. So not all bad.
