The theme...
Help towards the theme can also be sought here. The help should be in the nature of a pointer, a nudge in the right direction - something helpful but not anything that would spoil the puzzle for others. Any posts which, even inadvertently, reveal too much of the theme, are likely to be removed.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

All done - strange theme (!) - enjoyed this one.

All done but I can't find/justify the final of the six letters in the Across clues. Pretty sure I know which clue it's in. Also, is there an error in the clue for 20D? The solution doesn't seem to square with the entry in Chambers.

Simon9x - I think 20D is OK; perhaps stretches the meaning of 'mistress' slightly.

This is Karla's second puzzle this year. I wonder how/why that came about.

I had the same problem with 20 down, surely it should be mistresses?
