Hi K. I'm not sure if 20d ends with a or e. I've googled both - it seems to me you can make anything fit with Google.5d and 38ac; 39ac and 26 d, no problem

AJT I've pencilled in an i as the last letter in 20d as it is a rare type of what we are looking for- sorry I'm being so cryptic!

I currently have 16a with 33a hence problem with 2d & 20d

Thanks, K. I've been going through Chambers, Collins and Bloomsbury, and haven't found that. I'm sure you're right.

Chairman if you google the theme word hidden in 8d with 2d & 33a you will see they are connected.

I assume we are all happy with the music connection & the seabird one & we are left with 2d &33a.

The final connection is purple with the theme word.

Finding it hard to see beyond moth connection for 16a & 33a - that just seems so clear.

But 2 d is also a moth

I think there is a link between 20d and 33a, at least on paper! No 'i' ending.

And 2d and 16a flutters through my mind.
