BEWARE! "One set on" solution is NOT, repeat NOT radio.

This clue is the location of the N misprinted letter needed to make the third from last letter of the fish which was thought to be extinct.

one = I, set on = TAR. Reverse both and add O for over

the misprint is in SITE

This all eventually makes much more sense with the addition of the penultimate letter N of the 9 letter extinct Tasmanian wolf.

I've finished, although I cannot find a tool called a DIV, assuming that is the intended answer.

For anyone still working through this, and with ref to an earlier post, although it could be said that SPAN goes below the 7-letter answer in the last row but one, I would say that it goes at the end of it.

The thematic entries had a nice symmetry to them but I'd only heard of one of them.

I think a Div is a tool in the sense that a tool is an idiot, a fool. Div= fool is in Chambers. I could be wrong!
