I too rejected highlighting the preamble, as I was convinced that such an extraordinary departure from the norm would have been more clearly signposted. Even another acrostic telling us to think outside the box would probably have been enough. The occurrence of a sn(e)aky SEARCHAREA inside the grid was more of a temptation than I could resist.
