I found 31 quite easily ,but now down to the nitty gritty .

I take it back - a very clever clue! There have been mistakes in past quizzes, but this seems to be a rather well-thought out edition so far.

Love this quiz as I am an avid reader. Found 31 ingenious. Just 7 to do and may be asking for help later. Looking forward to seeing familiar names pop-up.

Felicity, glad you're enjoying the quiz - I'm full of admiration for the setter/s. I have only six to solve, but as there's months to go until the closing date, I'll take my time - maybe devote a week each to the tricky ones!

Hi tex123, I've been doing the Rainbow quiz for about 11 years and think this is one of the most difficult yet although No.31 jumped out at me, a very clever clue. I still need 19 to complete the puzzle, but plenty time left

As usual, this is a brilliant quiz. Just the right amount of reasonably easy answers to get you going but then the challenge starts. It is interesting that the hard ones aredifferent for all of us. I saw 31 quickly, while 30 has had me struggling for a long time.

Still 5 to do which I can't get a handle on at all. May be asking for help soon.

Glad Felicity is going to ask for help soon. Can I beat her to it and ask for hints fo 30 and 55?
