Oh dear, Winnie, with your clues for 54 and 97, I am now doubting my answers! No 54 not sure what the word is used in crosswords denoting an anagram. Help please?
No. 97. I have an Australian tree with TT in the middle but you are saying OO. Help again please. After this perhaps I should just accept the answers I have and submit them!!

Winnie thank you very much! I only need to get 54 and 77 which l hope l will do tomorrow, then will start counting. I often find it best to leave it for a day or two then l come back and solve a couple so easily. 49 for example, have had that fine linen in my head for days and suddenly it clicked. Nearly there!

Hi haeremain18
54 Anagram 'wolf' to another word for a hen for instance, then see where that takes you
97 This is a strange word for twig - try what does a fairy hold then remember 00 for a pair of ducks.

Hi again Winnie, first of all let me say a huge thank you to you, Twinsnan and Haeremai18 for all the extra clues you have provided, I now only need to solve number 97 and then I'm done, I've read all the threads and can't find anything with two O's (for the ducks) but I'll keep plugging away until I find it.
Thanks again

Nocando. OO is at the end of the word,it is preceded by something that a fairy uses. I have just realised l need three more still, loads of clues to work on for 54 and 77 but missed 21, think it begins with cob but can't get the other beast to make a compound. Tomorrow is another day, midnight so must give up, going for a 6 mile walk tomorrow, maybe l will get inspiration while walking. Night all, thanks so much for the help.

Good morning Winnie et al! Think I am going round the bend re no. 54. Misread Winnie's clue. So it is an anagram of wolf which is another name for a hen. Got that but what is the first part of the word? The whole word has to have two Ws to make up 20 words with 2 Ws or I have gone wrong in another clue!! The whole word I do have begins with a W and the first part is the opposite of tame followed by an anagram of wolf. Am I correct please?

Twinsan good morning. Do you mean no. 20 (not 21) to begin with Cob? The second part of the word is what a fly can be caught in.
