Hello, Elle!
it is a nice breeze blowing here.
I am recording BGT and shall watch it in the morning.
I suppose everyone will have lost transmission if it went down in London.
I hope Dec does well without Ant.
i very rarely take my 'phone out with me.
Just do not see the need for it.

Hi, Rusty!
I am just the oppositeā€¦!
I see my mobile phone as a tool for emergencies when we are out - say, if someone were ill ...or we had an accident.....and needed an ambulance .....
Or we had a breakdown.....
Or our daughters or son needed us .......
At home, we always use the house phone.
I am watching BGT now, as I shall not have the time tomorrow.
Hair cut day......!
For me, that is, not the dog.....she goes for her trim on Friday!

Ros, I'm sorry I didn't see your post earlier.
Thanks for the info!
No, I had not come across that poem before!
I've now looked it up...Robert Browning.

Hello, Elle!
That is a very dramatic outlook on life you have for taking your mobile 'phone with you!
You are not a mobile 'phone saleslady on the quiet, by any chance?
Mine sits on the coffee table until I return.
I prefer my home 'phone too.
Mainly because I can hear much better on it.

Hi, Rusty!
I just think that taking my mobile out with me is a practical thing to do!
I never "chat" on it, though, whilst out!
I would consider that anti-social.
I have been talking to my elder daughter.
She rang from York, where they are on holiday for half-term.
They are staying in an apartment...... but eating out ( very sensible!)
This afternoon, they went on a river trip.
And tomorrow are visiting a museum.
I watched BGT....I shall say no more , though, in case I spoil it for you!

Good morning, Rusty!
It is a wet morning here...and thankfully much cooler.
A pleasant walk, albeit a damp one!
Now......I have good news!
Very surprisingly, the contractors for TW arrived first thing this morning to finish the path!
( It is especially "surprising" because they were scheduled to come next Saturday!)
However..... the path does now look very nice!
I am pleased........
What did you think of the BGT Semi-final?
Did you agree with the choice of contestants chosen for the Final?
Right... a quick coffee and I am away to have my hair cut.
I shall be back about lunch time.......

Good morning, Elle!
Misty and much cooler here.
Well done, the Thames Water lads!
I have not watched BGT yet.
May get time later in the morning.
It is almost time for my coffee break and I'll have a look then.

Hello, Elle!
I have watched BGT and results.
First, I thought Dec did very well on his own.
And it was great seeing Ashley Banjo and Diversity again.
I think we should have Diversity on every week!
As far as the acts are concerned, I thought Maddox the magician was the outstanding turn last night.
And I would have had Matt the escape lad in second place.
The rest were fairly so-so, I thought.
What are your thoughts?

Good afternoon, Rusty!
It is pouring down now.....and there are faint rumblings of thunder!
I think I have just got home in time, before the storm breaks.
Yes, Ant did well...and it was nice of David to tell him that.
I liked Maddox very much......
I had thought that he would be one of those chosen to go forward to the Final.
I even voted for him...and I rarely bother to do that!
I expected that either the D-day Darlings or the Lost Voice Guy would get a place....
Either would be considered suitable viewing for the Royal Family?
The escapologist was good...but it was gruelling to watch..... a bit like waiting for a catastrophe in "Casualty"!
I'm still gob-smacked by the appearance of the TW guys early this morning......
(It was the same two who walked out having done half- a- job last time!)
I wonder if another team will turn up for the appointment on Saturday?!

Hello, Elle!
Weather has turned for the better here.
Beautiful day now, and the storms have passed in Florida!
It was Dec, not Ant, that was on!
I can see the appeal of Lost Voice Guy but I did not find him funny.
I am pleased he reached the final, but come on!
Maddox should have been there!
And the less I say about the D-Day Darlings, the better.
Maybe the Queen would like them, but I don't!
Had you words of praise for the Thames Water lads?
You will be glad it is done though!

Update, Elle!
I have been exploring!
The Lost Voice Guy has his own show on Radio 4.
It is a sit-com series.
Think I'll give it a miss!
