Hello, Elle!
They must be getting the same weather up North, as us ones further up North!
It's been great!
Is St Anne's the same as Lytham St Anne's?
I know of the golf course there.
Red Button is available on some of the Sky Sports channels, (I often use it for the golf) but I do not know about the ITV channels.
My son is excellent at keeping in touch (unlike his big brother!).
I hear from him several times a day.
Their new hotel is in Orlando, and he said it is super.
They were going to Discovery Cove today.

Hi, Rusty!
I don't know, Rusty........but you may well be right!
Perhaps it is called "Lytham St Anne's"?
I have always known it just as St Anne's.... and Lytham as a nearby place (about two miles away) next to it?
I have been to neither, although, when I was a child, we used to holiday at Fleetwood, which is further north.
Blackpool lies a little further down the coast from Fleetwood, and then comes St Anne's on the south side of that.
We still have no thunder...nor rain!
Hopefully we shall have a fine day tomorrow!

Good morning, Elle.
Fine day here!
How is your weather behaving?
All quiet at the loch.
No sign of chick 3 appearing.
I think your St Annes is the same place as Lytham St Anne's.
Seemingly it can be spelt with or without the apostrophe.
Also known as Saint Anne's-on-the-Sea.
The Open Golf Championship sometimes takes place there. at Royal Lytham.
Seems a nice part of the world!

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
We have a gloriously sunny day here...the temperature was already 22C when we went out for our walk!
We are a tad late returning, as we sat a while chatting in the sunshine!
I have looked on Google, and, for a small place , St Anne's seems to have caused a great deal of controversy.
No one seems sure what is what....there are seemingly many arguments.
But according to both Wikipedia and my own AA Atlas....Lytham St Annes appears to be a "general region" comprising St Anne's (on- sea, or otherwise), Ansdell, Fairhaven , Lytham ( about three miles down the coast from St Anne's) and four golf courses!
It is apparently a very expensive area in which to live.
We are set for a relaxing day!
(John has sent me five crosswords!)
How about you?
Any plans?

Hello, Elle!
Wonderful weather here, too!
We are getting spoiled.
I only know Royal Lytham through the golf.
It is a course with a great reputation.
I did not know it was a well-to-do area.
I best stay well clear!
There is a Jumbo Cryptic in The Times today.
I have no plans and I do not think the young ones have any plans for me!
I finished the puzzle earlier.
Not too difficult?

Hi, Rusty!
I only know that Lytham St Anne's is an expensive area in which to live, from what I was reading about it!
I have never been there, although I've visited nearby coastal towns , such as Thornton, Cleveleys and Fleetwood .
I've also been to Blackpool to a Haematology Symposium - fortunately that was out of season!
I'm about halfway though the 15 x 15 - and am struggling a bit.....it seems difficult to me?
I don't attempt the Jumbo Cryptic -- it is well beyond me!
I think maybe I need sustenance.........

Hello, Elle!
I found the puzzle on the easy side, but often I have found it a struggle when you think it is straightforward.
I do not do the Jumbo Cryptic, too.
I did it for years but it became a long slog for me and now I give it to my neighbourly nurse.
She takes the puzzle pages I give her, to work, for her colleagues and patients to do.
So, that's my good deed every day!

Update, Elle!
I have blundered!
I called the golf course "Royal Lytham St Annes".
But, I have just noticed it is "Royal Lytham AND St Anne's".
Which makes more sense, I'd say?
Although it says it's location is "Lytham St Anne's"
A tad confusing, right enough!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, it is indeed confusing.......do not worry about it!
I am definitely coming to believe in the Wikipedia version, and that of my (admittedly outdated though) AA Atlas!
I think Lytham St Anne is a region.....
See this
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lytham_St_Annes
(It is as well we don't live there........we wouldn't know if we were on our head or our heels!)
I missed Rosalind telling us that the chicks were being fed!
Did you see that?
However, I have just found a short video of this happening, on the Blog....
Take a look?
The babies are very sweet!
Now, I've taken a long break...so back to the crossword, and let us see if I can finish this time around.....
