Hello, Elle.
It is a beautiful morning here!
I've watched Laura and most of BGT.
Just awaiting the young one now, or maybe two of them.
I think your daughter is very sensible staying away.
Your husband's good health must come first.

Hi, Rusty!
You may well still be out with your granddaughter ......?
Where did you go?
I have been watching BGT.......I found most of last night's performers average, but not exceptional?
Apart from the young lad who danced as a doll...he was very good!
(It was a shame that his singer brother did not get through...but he was not as talented)
What a difficult decision for the judges to make - choosing 40 acts for the Semi -finals from 182!
Still , they made good choices, I think?
I think my personal favourites are the magician Marc Spelman; Jack and Dad; the two male singers, Gruffyd and Ronan; Father Ray Kelly , and DVJ - the Diversity Junior dance troupe.
There was a gospel choir, too, that I particularly liked, but I cannot remember its name?
I was surprised to see the naked Japanese performer in the Semi -finals list?
I had thought he was sent off as being unsuitable?
What did you think of the choices?
I am now going to watch the Diamond League highlights...……

Hello, Ros!
No, luckily we had nothing whatsoever prepared in the food line, as the original plan had been for us to go there!
It was changed at the last minute, because of our then having to leave the dog "home alone" during the thunderstorms.
We were going to order in a take-away!

Hello, Elle!
Was at Pine Cone with Miss La Bamba.
Had a good time!
I have not seen the part of BGT where the acts are voted on to the live shows.
Recording stopped just before then.
It clashed with the Diamond League recording.
But, I have recorded it again and will watch the "missing" bit when I have my tea!
I think the final is a week tonight.
How is your weather now?
Great day here!

Hi, Rusty!
I'm glad you had a good time!
We are having very strange weather.... we had some sunshine for a short time...even a blue sky ...but it is unpleasantly very humid and more thunderstorms are apparently brewing from five o'clock onwards.
We haven't been very far afield.....it is not really walking weather!
I enjoyed the Eugene Diamond League. although I do wish it were less condensed.
Highlights are all very well, but a list of competitors before commencement of a race or field event would be good!
Shelby Houlihan 's coming in first in the 1500m was quite a surprise; Laura did well to take second ; and Jenny Simpson's third was well deserved considering she ran from the front throughout the race.
I have the Roland Garros on at the moment......on ITV4.....Jo Konta has lost the first set to Putintseva.....

Hello, Elle!
The South seems to be getting all the bad weather.
Stansted Airport has had lightning strikes and can not refuel the planes.
On the other hand, we have wonderful weather up here!
Laura could have won that race if she made her move slightly earlier.
She finished like a train!
Think it is the Rome Diamond League next weekend.
I am going to have my tea now, and see the bit of BGT that I missed, then catch up with Paddy P's betting on the Final.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I have been reading on the computer all about London's horrific thunderstorms - the pictured bolts of lightning are just incredible!
I hadn't realised that the lightning was so severe.....It was the thunder that made the most impact on me ....never have I heard such a noise!
But we now have a lovely evening....the sky is blue, the sun is shining...
Hopefully the forecast was wrong about more storms.
Have you watched the remainder of BGT?
What do you think of the selections for the Semi-final?
Btw, Jo Konta lost her match.

Good evening, Elle!
Certainly seem to have had weather in your neck of the woods!
It is perfect here.
I have watched BGT now.
No great surprises in the choices for the live shows.
Looking forward to them!
ITV4 are doing the tennis fans proud with their all day coverage of Roland Garros!
I am beginning to wonder if the third egg will hatch or not?

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, ITV4 is offering nearly twelve hours coverage each day..... would that the BBC would take note, and produce something better for the Athletics!
I shall see if I can find some sort of tennis schedule...then I can pick and choose what to watch......and when.
Our local weather forecast is improving......
What had threatened to be several days of storms seems to be over?
Fingers crossed for a cooler, fresher, storm-free day tomorrow!
No, nothing seems to be happening in the osprey nest?
I hope the two newbies are okay...I haven't caught a glimpse of them today.
Have you heard from your son today?
Are they liking their new hotel?

Hello, Elle!
I wonder, does ITV4 have a Red Button facility so you could choose which match/court to watch?
That's good news about your weather.
I got a text from my son at Pine Cone.
The new hotel is great by the sound of things.
I should likely hear from him this evening.
The two chicks are doing well.
Plenty fish coming to the nest.
Laddie doing a fine job!

Hi, Rusty!
I have been talking to my cousin!
All are well up north...and they - unlike us - have been having wonderful weather!
She is going away (with a local organisation) for a week's holiday in St. Anne's from tomorrow.
A nice break for her.
I don't know about the Red Button and the ITV services?
I had thought ( in my obvious ignorance) that the Red Button was just a BBC facility?
I'll have to ration myself.... I cannot (must not) sit there watching tennis for twelve hours!
Your son is great at keeping in contact!
