Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I did indeed watch Niamh singing "Sing Me an Old-Fashioned Song"
(I always watch what you send me)
I liked it very much......I am sorry I forgot to comment....
I was so bowled over by Evelyn that she took precedence!
Now, I am happy to hum along and sing (relatively) quietly to myself ....
But trust me, my singing is not up to a karaoke performance - my family would be buying earplugs!
I am enthusiastic, yes, but not very tuneful!
Mind you, enthusiasm is good!
Katy Melua and I are having a great time, singing along together, here.......
What did Cloverjo say...and where...I couldn't fund any reference?

Sorry elle
Given my (lack of) interest in dogs, I have no idea what kind of dog Greyfriars Bobby was, sorry. He certainly looks like a terrier.
I fell in love with Edinburgh when I was 12, when I was allowed to explore entirely on my own. The first time I knew anything about the dog I was standing right by the statue. I think stealing him was only a Rag Week prank, but the miscreants sure upset a lot of people.
I've hated singing for as long as I can remember (certainly since being made to sing alone in front of the class, and then told to stop at once!) and karoke is pretty close to my idea of hell. But I don't have to go near one, so that's OK.
Family coming for showers/baths as their boiler is broken, and dinner

Hello guys.
This is where I mentioned you on AB. I don't know if you are regular contributors over there? God bless Mikey.

Hello, Elle!
I loved Evelyn!
A star is born!
Glad you liked Niamh, she reminds me of Patsy Cline!
You will find Cloverjo's post on AnswerBank, then ChatterBank, scroll down to "AnswerBank Remembers Mikey", then to Page 2, and Cloverjo's post is at 21.34.
And if you get lost, ask the nearest bobby!

Hello, Cloverjo!
Some of us do frequent AnswerBank, and Mikey often posted here with a crossword question or two.
That's the link!
Yes, rest easy, Mikey!

Hi Elle
Yes, Greyfriars Bobby was a Skye Terrier (as was Mikey's little dog)

Hello Cloverjo
As you can see from my profile, I don't contribute much on AB ( except for Sqad in the Body and Soul section and the odd question here and there ) but I always followed Mikey :) My condolences to his family .

Hi, Rusty!
You should try listening to Katie Melua..........
My favourite CD of hers is "Ketevan"
Try it?
You can probably find it on YouTube.
Ketevan was Katie's birth name!
I wonder if she were named after Ketevan the Martyr, who was a queen of Kakheti, a kingdom in eastern Georgia?
Ketevan the Martyr was killed sometime in the 1600s, for refusing to give up the Christian faith and convert to Islam.
Thank you for the instructions on finding Cloverjo's post on AB... but I didn't need to look for it after all, as she has since posted it up on here.
Are you all spruced up and ready for "off"?

Thank you, Cloverjo!
I find Answerbank somewhat confusing!
And I cannot post on there, as I am not a member...although I have been reading the tributes to Mikey.
I did however express my sorrow for him.......and for his family.... on here.

Hello, Ros
Oh good, someone else who cannot sing!
I used to have a terrible time at school......we had music exams...with an oral section!
The teacher would play a note, and we had to write down what it was.....A, B, C or whatever......
How ever did I know?!

Hello, Elle!
You will be astonished to learn that I have not come across Ketevan the Martyr before!
You appear to be well up on her, though!
I am just ready to go.
PS. It is very easy-peasy to join AnswerBank!

I wonder what Norah and Ash make of all this publicity around AB!
