Good morning, Elle!
Cold outside!
They were at Disneyland yesterday!
But they say it is very cold, and my son is used to cold, working outside etc.
Think they come home tomorrow.
I am getting ready to go visiting.
Hope to be home during the curling bronze match!

Good morning, Rusty!
I am just home from my walk.
It is a glorious day here - blue sky, sunshine, but only minus 1C when I went out!
I like it like that though......it is very invigorating, providing one walks briskly enough to keep warm.
I am drinking coffee........and then will sort out the washing machine!
Later, I shall attempt the crosswords.
I hope your day goes well...... and that you make it back from your visiting in time for the curling match!

Hello, Elle!
Great day here, but quite cold.
Just finished watching the game.
Japan won. They played very well.
Eve went for a winning shot in the final end, but it did not come off.
So, well done, Japan! Worthy winners.
I was away visiting folk earlier.
Puzzle finished and am thinking of going for a walk.
Was learning the words of a song earlier, too!

Hello rusty
I have a little surprise for you. You said you had not seen this little fellow for some while. You won't find this image anwhere on the internet as it is my own taken August c1972 on my way to the Edinburgh Tattoo. I hope this works......

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Yes, it is bitterly cold here, too but the day is absolutely beautiful!
I am glad that you made it back in time to watch the Curling match.
You would have been disappointed had you missed it!
I've "completed" my puzzle too, although I still have a bit of parsing to do.
I especially liked 4d, 13a, 15a and 28a.
I remember Doglet telling us all about "swan- upping" (20a) on the Thames!
What song have you been learning?
I hope you enjoy your walk!
We, too, are off out very shortly.........

Good afternoon, Jazzgirl!
That is a great snap!
Many thanks!
Now speak about coincidence....
In my post to Elle I said I have been learning the words to a song (for the karaoke!).
My song is, "Me and Bobby McGee"!

Hello, Elle!
Just missed your post!
I liked the curling and was pleased for the Japanese girls.
Their first ever medal in curling!
I have the puzzle parsed (I think) but one or two were a struggle and was at a tangent with our setter, but a good puzzle for all that!
My song is Kris Kristofferson's version of "Me and Bobby McGee".

Hi, Rusty!
Cold out, but very enjoyable none- the- less!
Home again for the remainder of the day now.
Now........I don't really understand karaoke?
Do you sing the song by yourself to music?
Or do you sing along with the " official singer"?
Or what?
It is something I have never seen done...nor experienced?
So when - and where - and how - are you singing "Me and Bobby McGee" then?
