Unclued, you will find a mega hint to the film and its stars in post 26. I don't understand how TITIS fits where you say it fits without some diagonals unless 3 down is virtually all "diagonals". Cheers

Ah, I have:
A
L
A/R
M
I/S
T
to fit in with ALAR and IMPLANTS
but I could be wrong as I still have about a third of the clues to solve.
The film is extremely well-known, well to me at least. It was one of a series made by the two stars in the 1930s and it was shown on BBC2 on Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago. Have you read post 26?The two stars are identified by their surnames.

Thanks - got it now and finished.
AL\AR and I\MPLANT/S.
You should have 4 sets of 3 diagonal lines each covering 2 cells. The lines are totally symmetrical. I've no idea what it becomes when folded - to be honest I don't really care.
One day until the next one - I'm finding that my whole life is revolving around Listeners!
