You have ADIEUS in the wrong place. It should mirror the answer to the clue which begines 'fly'.

Thanks. Guessed as much. What I think I am missing is whether clues like the last seven letter one down only takes up six spaces so two letters go in one cell. Presumably these fit with the across similarly.

I nearly have a full grid too, but am struggling to fit in VET, TITIS and the answer to "Takes ill at sea" (which I thought was AILS but looking at the grid that must be wrong) with REALIST and ALARMIST. Any pointers please?

I'm nowhere near finishing this but I have EATS for "takes ill..." with an extra A. Could be wrong, though!

I agree with EATS. VET is on the 4th row far left - V\ET. TITIS starts on the second cell of the 6th row (no diagonals).

What is Supply Allied cause please? (5)
