Not in my Chambers! However I found this - it's an alternative spelling, apparently:

I just checked my Chambers and it's there as the first spelling.

Which edition do you have, aristo? Neither spelling is in mine, and it's not all that old (well, about 15 years, I suppose!)

Do you know, my Chambers doesn't actually say which edition is is - do you think it might be a pirate copy?
Publishing date is given as 1998, so my 15 year guess was uncannily accurate!

Hi again. Couldn't quite finish the 7th course.

All three spellings in my Chambers CD-ROM v.1 published 2003. BIDI, BEEDI, BEEDIE in that order. My paper Chambers published 1998 has none of them.

Looks like #2 is the only unsolved one. Say you've solved some of the 'crossers' and get:-
