Maybe the spacing of the words has been changed just to confuse. The 111 could be SS at the end of one word and a single S at the start of the next.
I'm probably way offtrack but I've seen this done before.

Sectioning, Sizzy, is certifying (by two doctors) that one is ill enough to be incarcerated in a mental hospital! Guess Les had been metaphorically tearing his hair.

I have received an E-mail reply from the setter of this horrible conundrum.

His reply; I cannot give any hints at this stage because it has not been solved yet.It is perfectly solvable if you apply the correct logic.

I shall continue on,TonyW

And it's possible that 111 is a 1 and an 11, or the other way around; with simple equivalence most of the numbers would be double.
Re Post 24: You really should be more careful, tonyw. The drone was recalled just in time.

I think we can scratch atomic numbers.

This thing has to translate to letters somehow, unless I'm really missing the boat.

That singleton 5 has to be the key, but "A" or "I" don't seem to work.
If that's a typo, call Guido, or trevor.

MaƱana.
