1d was my last not-in till I came here; I had thought it must be that but couldn't see why. Is it also one of the 14? I've lost count and there are a couple of 'could-be's for me.

13d I can only make sense of if "one's snorted" is meant to be a homonym indicator?

i took "snorted" as a (strange) inclusion indicator

I agree with chrise re ‘snorted’ - strange (but worth it for its contribution to the surface IMO).
1d is not a theme word. I make it 8 across thematics and 6 down.

... oh, and hence "a lot of". That makes sense, of course. Thanks!

Thought for a while I only had 13 of the 14. This led me to find out that some people are trying to get a [theme item] called 15D produced. Then realised I had missed counting a really obvious one (although would like to have seen the "Spam" version squeezed on somehow).

First it was Pauli and "exclusion", and now my latest COD jest has also gone unnoticed - you're breaking my heart guys 😥

Thanks Brendan, at least I have the theme now, even though I have none of the 14...Early days for me.

Brendan, do you have any evidence for your highly likely statement?

Thanks Fernie but, just to be clear, my previous post has nothing to do with the theme - it was just me bemoaning the fact that my COD joke seems to have gone unnoticed.

Very good Smudgekent, and no but there is high statistical likelihood:-)
