A hint please on the 4 'regally' connected clues?

The first of the four that I got (2dn) made me think of heraldry terms -but they're not! Try googling what you get, and you will find a link between them

These aren't words - they're names. 22dn secure university - you've got the u, so with g?a? find a word for secure, or get. 19 d, now that's easy - loveless relations - a relation without an o. Then as I advised Rosie, Google the results, and you will find a connection

Rosie, The link is hideously obscure. Nobody could be expected to work it out without Google.

Actually, yo've got a very good clue in 4dn - and it is no 4, after all.
