It isn't just the letter K that is to be removed. If you've got 10 ac, you will find it in Chambers.

If it's not giving too much away, are the 10 'affected' clues evenly split 5 across 5 down or some other ratio?
Thanks.

There are 5 non-words across, and 4 down - not symmetrical

I should have added that the one "treated" which still makes a word, is an across clue

After an absence, I have now justified the two I was doubtful about, and feel confident enough to submit it.

Hmm, nearly there, although a bit doubtful about a couple of the down clues - not sure if they are 'treated' or not - 4D, 6D and 16D. For 4D I have a proper word answer which seems to fit the definition, but I can't understand why. 6D I can also find a proper word, but again it doesn't quite seem to make sense. Cannot make head nor tail of 16D

You probably do have the correct word for 4 d - It's not treated, and it's an easy one. There is another setter for the Guardian whose nom-de-plume is the first and last two letters of the answer.
6d is one of the treated words.
16 d is untreated. Perhaps you're too young to remember a very famous name in naval history?

Don't you just hate it when your lot go on and on about a clue you've already solved when there are six others you're stumped by?

AJT can you please confirm what you advised in the previous post, namely that another Guardian setter has a three letter pseudonym?
Could it possibly be 4 letters?

Thank you.
